Leading Solvents was established in 1986 and has grown and evolved over this period to become one of the major manufacturers & distributors of solvents and chemicals in the UK. The acquisition of BIG Supplies in October 2018 provided the company with its own distribution channel, and more recently the purchase of Solvents With Safety in 2020 has expanded our production facilities to better accommodate our growing customer base. The company runs its own internal transport and logistics and employs 80+ people across several sites in Yorkshire.

Our products are primarily blended and distributed for use in the Manufacturing, Automotive, Industrial, Cosmetic, Rail and Aviation sectors. Along with a comprehensive white label service, Leading Solvents distributes a number of automotive and refinishing products under the MPEX and

Q-line brands. We are also the UK distributor for Dinitrol & Dekalin.

Leading Solvents occupies many sites in and around Yorkshire. Our main facilities are located 3 miles from Wetherby, just North of Leeds near the small village of Tockwith. We operate our Head office, distribution warehouse, as well as 2 manufacturing, storage and recycling facilities at Tockwith. We also have a major manufacturing and distribution facility at Bircotes near Doncaster.
